We make students wear uniforms at some schools, so why not the teachers?

Should teachers be forced to wear a uniform when the students are forced to wear one?

Why or why not?

No. As long as teacher's are dressing appropriately for the position, there should be no uniforms. Uniforms don't always make things easier on people. Even within hospitals, although patient-facing positions wear scrubs (typically), they come in all colors and patterns, etc. Give people a means to express themselves!

Sure wouldn't hurt in some cases.

No. I say we let the teachers dress how they want.

Thats what I say about the students (within reason). Never been a fan of uniforms in any school or profession. Anyone who works at a place just needs an employee badge / ID / name tag.

Uniforms are a school's way of controlling kids, making them submissive and killing their individuality. Hence why no school has uniform requirements for teachers.

Schools can lie all they want that uniforms prevent issues, but we all know the truth.

The create financial issues for the socioeconomically disadvantaged parents. Having to buy separate clothes for home life and school really adds up.

Not only that, but usually uniforms are sexist. Guys wear a formal shirt and pants, meanwhile girls wear formal top and skirt which is sometimes short af. It's no secret that most men love girls in skirts. So, lets have school girls wear skirts! Granted, the skirt thing usually doesn't apply to female teachers, but you get my point. School dress codes/uniforms for kids or adults are usually sexist.

Short skirts for a school uniform in 2023? What school is that?
