Teddy bear surprise reduces woman to tears

A romantic New Yorker stunned his fiancee by tracking down and restoring her long lost childhood teddy bear.

Vas Alli knew he had to come up with something special for a Christmas present after proposing to Jess the previous year.

After a whole year of searching high and low, through tens of thousands of bears online, he found her teddy, Whitey.

He then took Whitey to the Secaucus Doll and Teddy Bear Hospital who restored the bear to its former glory.

"When I began this venture, Whitey was in two pieces (his head ripped off) and missing an ear, his nose, both eyes, and not to mention half of his stuffing was gone," he said.

A video uploaded to YouTube shows Jess's shocked and emotional reaction when she opens her Christmas present.

"I smelled him and I knew," she says, in between floods of tears.
