Teen gets 15 years in Facebook sex scam

Anthony Stancl, a 19 year old teen from Wisconsin, was convicted of using facebook for a sex scam. He apparently convinced classmates that he was a girl, got them to send him nude photos of themselves, then blackmailed them into having sex with him.

They shouldn't have sent nude pics to random people over the net, that's their own stupid fault. However, I do have some sympathy for those kids, but 15 years? Please tell me you're kidding me. No one forced those kids to have sex, because if they had any morals to them, as Nebulous said, they wouldn't have sex with him. If you did that here in Alabama, you'd be beat to death. I'm sorry, but murders don't even get 15 years. Stupid kids, stupid teen, stupid sentencing. No one can force you to do anything you don't want to do unless they physically make you do something. Blackmail is their own shame for being stupid. No, they didn't know it'd be used as blackmail, but no one forced them to have sex to hide their own secrets. There has to be more to this story than what's being revealed.

If any of these kids had any morals then they wouldn't have even sent those pics to that person in the first place. It's really hard to have any sympathy for anyone because those kids put themselves into that situation when it was rather easy for them to avoid it simply by not sending random pics to strangers on the internet which common sense would tell you is a rather bad idea. The guy who did it doesn't deserve any sympathy either as he clearly knew what he was doing when he started all this.

I dont think they blackmailer should have been put in jail unless he held these people down and raped them. They went over and willingly had sex with him just to stop some naked pictures from being released.
