And the race peddlers come out in full force even though the black people who live in that neighborhood and saw the whole thing have been on the news saying the cops did the right thing with a crowd full of punk kids creating havoc and fights breaking out. Don't want to get knocked down listen to the cop. Don't want to have a gun drawn on you do not move in manner that looks like you are going to hit a cop.

haha they were running away, no one was moving in the manner that looked like they were going to hit a cop, are you blind or just delusional?

i wonder how many black people were barked at and arrested and how many white people had the same treatment when both were there...

but like i said above, the police went after black people only it looks like...

It is very clear two of those boys were attempting to come up behind while the cop was getting the girl under control. You sneak up behind a cop while he is on the job during a violent confrontation you are going to get a gun drawn on you.

I imagine not many since the overwhelming majority in the video were black. So black people are going to be the ones to mostly get yelled at and arrested.

but like i said above, the police went after black people only it looks like...

They went after the ones who were there within there line of sight.

I can't believe this cop has resigned or is apologizing for getting these piece of crap punk kids under control. All them were breaking the law by trespassing, fighting, disturbing the peace and witnesses catching some of them having sex in public. Not to mention ignoring the police's orders. So now because of our leftist politically correct idiots the next time these punk kids show up the cops will not be so fast to respond and they know it. This is what the left is creating and that is unruly havoc across this nation. I hope even more people get armed because the future is going to show less people wanting to be cops when they can't do there jobs and the loons expect the cops to use teddy bears and hugs to stop crime.

Texas pool party chaos: 'Out of control' police officer resigns
There's more to Eric Casebolt than the video that showed the former police corporal slamming a bikini-clad teenage girl to the ground in McKinney, Texas, his lawyer told reporters Wednesday.

And there's more to that day than those seven minutes caught on video, attorney Jane Bishkin said.

"The video that everyone has seen only depicts a small part of Eric's actions that day," Bishkin said, noting that Casebolt had responded to two suicide calls earlier Friday.

Casebolt resigned on Tuesday, days after a YouTube video showing his response to reports of fighting at a McKinney pool party sparked swift allegations of racism.

Critics decried the white officer for cursing at several black teenagers, unholstering and waving his gun at boys and throwing the 14-year-old girl to the ground, his knees pressed down on her back.

Bishkin said the suicide calls Casebolt dealt with earlier in his shift that day took an "emotional toll" on the 10-year veteran of the force.

The officer's first stop of the day was an apartment complex, where a man had shot himself in the head in front of his family by the pool. Then, he headed to a home where a teenage girl was threatening to jump off her parents' roof. There, Casebolt helped calm the girl down so she could be taken to the hospital, Bishkin said.

When reports of possible trespassing at a pool in McKinney's Craig Ranch neighborhood came through, Casebolt was "reluctant to respond ... given what he had just been through," his attorney said. But he felt it was duty to go to the scene after there were reports of "possible violent assaults," she said. The video tells some of the story, but not all of it, his attorney said.

"With all that happened that day, he allowed his emotions to get the better of him," Bishkin said. "Eric regrets that his conduct portrayed him and his department in a negative light. He never intended to mistreat anyone, but was only reacting to a situation and the challenges it presented. He apologizes to all who are offended. That day was not representative of the 10-year service to the community of McKinney, and it is his hope that by his resignation the community may start to heal."

His attorney said that race had nothing to do with how the officer responded.

"He believed that those who fled were possible suspects," Bishkin said. "He was not targeting minorities. In fact, he also detained a white female who you do not see on the video. His effort to gather information was hampered by some teenagers who were instructing others to defy police instructions."

Bishkin said the former officer didn't appear at a press conference Wednesday because he's faced death threats since the video went viral.

"He's worried for his family. He's worried he may be followed," she said. "And until that threat subsides, he's going to be in an undisclosed location."

Police chief: He was out of control

Only one person was arrested after Friday's incident, and the charges against him were later dropped, police said Tuesday.

McKinney's police chief has called Casebolt's actions "indefensible," but said it's too soon to say whether the former officer will face charges over what happened.

"Our policies, our training, our practice, do not support his actions," Chief Greg Conley said. "He came into the call out of control, and as the video shows, was out of control during the incident."

you know what... I think what that cop did in inexcusable, he completely lost control of himself. But I will say this, there needs to be a complete review of policing cause the current methods are not working in a world where society has completely changed.

I feel sorry for cops, they show up to situations where have no idea what kind of weapons or drugs may be involved, then when people use to respect and listen to cops, they now stand there with their cameras recording everything, because chances are now that something will happen. People don't listen, they would rather antagonize a situation just to get it on camera then to help defuse a situation, so it becomes inevitable that there will be an event.

The cope was wrong, but he was wrong because the police are trying to police as they did when people respected law and order, and that is not how it is any more.

I don't know what the answer is, but it needs a massive re-think.

Police chief is a political hack and the man caved under pressure like a little whining girly man.

The cop did not do one thing wrong. What do you want these cops to do when people are breaking the law say pretty please! Hell he should have been macing the little bastards then they would have begun to disperse and go home. But that would have so mean and insensitive! Cry me a river!
