How about that lovely heat these days? I read something in a newspaper recently that for Oklahoma. This past July was the hottest one ever. And I'm inclined to agree. Its like we've incurred the wrath of some higher deity or something.

Seems like all of the Mid-West is getting blasted with heat. We only had a few days of it several weeks ago. We didn't like it so went sent it all to Oklahoma!

Well take it back! We don't want it no mores!

Today (Saturday) will be the 36th consecutive day for temperatures to be in the triple digits for my area...42 is the record and with the forecasts I've seen, we'll definitely end up beating it. It's ridiculous...been 100+ at NIGHT. One of our reservoirs has red water because the water level is so low and a certain bacteria is building up to give it the tint. Last week, a tropical storm (Dan) didn't even make it to Texas because our air is so dry that it evaporated. Read something today that said it may go into next year...it's crazy. XD I can go for a cold shower and turn the hot water off and have the cold all the way up and it'll be lukewarm. Wanting relief from the heat, I went swimming the other day with some friends and the water had to have been at least 90 degrees...felt like a hot tub.

I could go on and on...trust me. :# I've seen this -> http://i.imgur.com/5I9T5.jpg <- quite a few times in the past week or so.

I'll drive through town at least once during the afternoon to look at that sign and it's always at least 108...usually 112. That is with the heat index, but still...

Here in Glasgow, it had temperatures as high as 23°C. Although that's obviously not as warm as in the US, it's still hot anyway. I can't stand the heat at all...

I can't stand high temps either, those of you in the US and other

places that get the temps you people get - I don't know how you

cope with it.

That said, the 'Summers' here in the UK are a wash out. Seems like

they are following the same route as the Winters - worse than than

the year before !
