What was the first R rated movie you ever saw?

Here in the UK, the ratings system is different - but, I think it would've been the Polanski version of Macbeth (rated 15 in the UK), which I saw in school (despite not yet being 15 at the time!)

Not sure but it might have been Deep Blue Sea.

Oh Lordy, I don't remember the first R rated movie I saw. It was probably a horror movie or something.

I don't think we have a direct equivalent in the UK do we...?

Is R-Rated for under 17's?

If so, I would say it was probably Dude, wheres my car? (rated 15!) Which until today remains my favourite comedy movie of all time!

My mom bought Robocop on cassette tape back in the late 80's for me when I was barely 5. She saw it and thought, hey it's a super hero movie. He'll like that.

Have you seen The Criterion Collection which premiered the 'unrated' edition of RoboCop?

I have the directors cut on Blu Ray. I didn't see any new footage though.
Weird. The 1987 Robocop release was cut in several scenes to attain an R-rating, and this unrated version restored that footage.
