Also its on "The CW" which is notorious for having terrible shows.

Like most modern TV adaptations it'll probably suck in new and creative ways.

He'll have all sorts of hand wringing angst about good and evil.

Then, most likely, then he'll come out as gay.

I'm watching it a second time and there is so much I totally missed the first time around! I love this show so much it is kind of cheesy sometimes but it's great.

PSA this show has 9 dang seasons! Legit just ended this year.

Some of my favorite things, stuff I noticed is below! ( Spoilers ahead BTW )

- Cisco played 'Poker Face' by Lady Gaga for Barry while he was in the coma, because he went on his Facebook page and saw that he liked the song

- Iris figures out that Barry is the Flash because of the blue jolt of lightning, akin to the blue jolt when she touched his hand while he was in a coma. The explanation for this is that she is his "Lightning Rod" - she keeps him centered, and from getting lost in the Speed Force

- The moment where Cisco (Vibe) discovers his powers for the first time and while he was "in the dream", he mentions something funny about the T-shirt he was wearing and Joe literally laughed so hard out loud! It was genuinely such a funny moment that was under 5 seconds. I'm not sure if that was the actor breaking character or it was written that way but the small things are so cool to notice and made me geek out.

- When Joe found out he had a son and he was talking to Barry about him, he gave Barry his watch for Christmas because of how he always said that he would give the watch to his son. I feel like that was really a huge powerful moment for Barry to understand how important he is to someone, especially Joe, because he was feeling unhappy a lot during that time.

I've heard horrible things about it. And from what I've seen of the show, it has been enough to discourage me from watching it altogether.

The first 2 seasons are genuinely very good imo, with the next couple still solid. But like most CW shows the drama takes too much focus and it just goes on for too long and the long seasons lead to filler. I eventually got bored of it and fell off after the Nora season I think? I just lost interest after awhile. Maybe one day I'll eventually go back to it but we'll see.
