Imagine this possibility:
Out of nowhere, someone comes along and offers you an opportunity to spend the rest of your life in a controlled environment, completely isolated from the rest of the world, completely free of charge and any kind of responsibilities and / or obligations.
You would be fully provided for with an unlimited amounts of food & drink of your choice, would have an unrestricted access to almost all forms of entertainment known to mankind (within the boundaries and possibilities of the environment, of course), would have the best medical care at your disposal, in case you get sick or anything else happens to you that requires medical attention, wouldn't have to work for anything or do absolutely anything you don't want to do, would be completely shielded from weather conditions & natural disasters, and would generally live a carefree life.
But, the downside is that you would be (almost) completely alone for the rest of your life. Medical staff that would take care of you would be explicitly prohibited from talking to you about anything other than your health status. You would have no one to talk to. No one to yell at you, no one to argue with you, no one to boss you around, but also no one to keep you company, to talk to you in a friendly manner. For the rest of your natural life.
So, how about it? Would you do it? Could you do it? Could you live inside this proverbial golden cage, where everything is dedicated to keeping you comfortable as much as possible, but also fully aware that, golden it may be, it is still a cage which you could never get out from?
