Yeah, I always seen it treated as a form of gatekeeping by people who take gaming way too seriously.

Totally agreed. I consider myself a gamer still, and yet I game less than ever because I just don't have the time.

I spent many many night up gaming not even sleeping however as I got older I basically got board of games and decided to stop altogether.

So true!! I've had a few friends replace just wasd, even went fancy with the keycaps and bought different coloured WASD to help them see them in their peripheral vision, lol.
