The Off Topix

The Off Topix is an extremely endangered pig like species with a hard outer shell. It is primarily found in remote parts of Africa although unconfirmed sightings of it have been reported in Eastern Europe.

The Off Topix feeds on bugs and other insects. Due to the Off Topix's small size and heavy shell, it is unable to hunt large prey, however, it will feed on the remains on animal carcasses killed by other animals.

The Off Topix has the ability to hide its mouth so to confuse any predators which may attempt to attack.

Female adult Off Topixs have curly tails similar to that of a pig whereas male Off Topixs have no tail. Tails don't develop until 18 months after birth at which time the mother will abandoned the new Off Topix.

Due to their hard shell and little legs, Off Topixs are heavy like a rock and cannot swim. If placed in water the Off Topix will sink and subsequently drown.

No-one knows why the Off Topix is endangered. Hunting/poaching are not believed to be causes of its endangerment.

Off Topixs, like Chameleons have the ability to change their skin color. They primarily change their skin color to express the psychological condition of themselves to other Off Topixs. In addition, it is used as a form of protection, changing color to blend in with the environment.

Female Off Topixs generally live longer than their male counterparts. Off Topixs are not considered to be adults until 18 months at which time their mother will abandon them. Off Topixs will live from anywhere between 10 - 15 years after that.

This is a nice thread. I've never even heard of a Off Topix, to be honest with you.

Do Off Topixs taste good?
Do to the Off Topix being an endangered species, humans are prohibited from harming or killing them. Therefore, they are unable to be eaten, so no-one know what they taste like.
