This is Hell: Torture Is Systemic in Israel's Prisons / Shai Parnes
"What was shocking for us and hard to believe for us is systematic and routine torture has become throughout the Israel prison system. We interviewed 55 detainees Gaza, West Bank, East Jerusalem, and even Palestinian Israeli citizens held in 16 prison facilities…The details in the testimonies were pretty much identical… It's routine and systematic and inspired by the Israeli government. That's the new reality on the Israel prison system of Palestinians."

Shai Parnes, Spokesperson for B'Tselem, The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, on their new report, "Welcome to Hell," a report on the abuse and inhuman treatment of Palestinians held in Israeli custody since October 7th 2023. B’Tselem collected testimonies from 55 Palestinians held during that time and released, almost all with no charges. "The Moment of Truth" with Jeff Dorchen follows the interview.

What Israel is doing should belong to grainy, black and white footage from the 40s and historical books retelling humanity's lowest point, not being recorded from iPhones in FULL HD and posted online. It's sickening that it's happening right now, in the present.

And on both sides.
When the Palestinians build jail and prison systems (not Hamas or Hezbollah mind you here) comparable to Israel's, then I would agree.
Otherwise, not so much.

Hamas is / was the elected government of Gaza and took prisoners and held them against their will, and, in the end, tortured and killed many of them.

As for Lebanon. They do not have an effective government and Hezbollah (and friends), do as they see fit. Including launching 150 rockets into Israel in one day.

Sitting over here, you can split hairs about who is what, on the ground there, good luck with that.
