They deserve EXACTLY what they've got.
The DC Government is a festering hellhole of corruption and abuse where favors are bought and sold just as easily, and cheaply as the drugs in the parking garage of city hall.
And the residents seem to like it that way.

John Oliver is a grade A left wing liberal idiot I can't even stand the sight of him so watching anything he has to say would even be more painful. But I do agree even though D.C. makes hell holes look like 2nd world paradises they should have the same rights until it all collapses in America.

Setting aside my own views about John Oliver (IMO, he's a foul-mouthed boor) there's one point that needs to be reminded: under the Constitution, the District of Columbia is a federal district, subject to no state's specific laws and with certain, limited rights specific to them.
