The remake was better?

Has there been a remake of a song or movie that was better than the original?

Most of the time I try to separate the original from the remake because they're often different for different reasons. For instance Sweet Dreams, most tend to think of the Eurythmics version, but Patsy Cline's original was just as good. Different songs, even though they're the same.

I think it depends on what generation we are in. Most old folks prefer the old ones and appreciate a few of them.
