Just from what I've seen, it looks like the "outrage" was manufactured as a publicity stunt for the Disney production.

This wouldn't be the first time it has been done, nor the first time the mainstream media started squawking in unison for those that use them for those ends, without looking into where it began and how.

Perhaps I'll skip pointing out that the story was reposted here, also without question.

Or perhaps not.

And all this time I thought the question was "why are people getting freaked out over what color a fictional character is?"
*deadpans* Glad to know I was wrong...

It’s so terrible I never even heard about this “outrage”😂

In the 90s or early 2000s when the left wasn’t using race as a weapon to keep people in categories people wouldn’t have said a thing and children would have enjoyed it.

It’s the changing of long standing loved characters I hate for wokeness. Black Adam I’m hoping is going to be good and I’m looking forward to seeing it and am very happy it’s not a white guy playing the role because it wouldn’t make sense and the idiot in that video I bet would also. Just like I wouldn’t want any other race but a white guy playing Superman.

I hadn't until I read about it and thought "the hell are they (the Right) complaining about now?"

Little mermaid was my daughters favorite movie growing up. She doesn't have a problem with the new one being black.
