From tomorrow gatherings in the UK will be limited to 6 people indoors or outdoors. Seeing as I don't have 6 friends it's not an issue for me, but what do you think of the new rule?

Personally I feel it is too little too late and the UK is on course for a second wave. Pubs are open, schools are back and universities are starting or have started already. We're going to get hit bad by coronavirus over the winter. Trying to limit people meeting in groups of 7 or more isn't going to make any difference.

Only 6 people allowed inside unless ... The list of exceptions is giant and stupid at the moment. You can go grouse hunting with more than 6 people. You can also have a children's party with as many kids as you want as long as there are only 6 adults.

I'd go with drive thru still. Where I live, a lot of the dine in places still aren't open.

Restaurants are mostly open here although they are slightly less populated right now because the 50% discount thing ended last month.

Yeah, last time I went to a restaurant (a couple of weeks ago), they were operating at half capacity, and even then they didn't have very many people.

As for the "Rule of 6" thing... I do suspect it'll be too little, too late. Won't affect me very much, though, since it's quite rare for me to socialise with more than six people anyway!
