This is food for thought
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/wo...gly-unfair-truth-about-looking-beautiful.html

Why, after decades of feminism, do we seem to demand that women in the public eye be extraordinarily beautiful but their male counterparts can get away with being ordinary?

The art critic John Berger famously said that, in our culture, “men act and women appear”. He didn’t mean that women didn’t actually do anything, or that men never looked pretty. His point was that this was how men and women were depicted.

At some point years ago in one or another article I pointed out that most people know all the ugly women they can stand in real life, and they appreciate a little pleasant scenery now and then.

And now, if you look objectively, the 'eye candy quality' of the guys in front of the cameras, is starting to climb as well.

Besides, whoever said "life was fair" was lying.

Yes, because women can just never get their fill of ugly men in our lives, taking up all the available space in every nook and cranny.

You boys just keep telling yourselves whatever it is you need to tell yourselves to allow yourselves to be as ugly a human being as you feel you simply must be.

~pffffttttt~

It feels like the article is saying women got the confidence to choose who they want to date.

I'm not a looks person, more of a personality and character person.

I have to admit to this as well. I have dated some ugly men who were AMAZING men .... the amazing just erases the ugly and replaces it with beauty.

TRUTH

It is simple, men don't have a multi-billion fashion industries aimed at them to make them feel inadequate

How does that improve a woman's choice of who they are attracted too? If anything doesn't that revert back to the man defining her by what shd wears and how she looks. Because she is meant to look a certain way to define his attraction for her?
