What movie has the worst ending?

Looper's ending pissed me right off. The whole film was just building up to this really awesome climax and then it was just nothing. I'll never forgive that movie.

Thinking of this made me realize that I don't actually like most endings? Not just of movies or TV, I like sad or devastating endings much more, and a lot of 'em (maybe except horror genre) simply don't have that. And I feel like most authors just give up near the end for whatever reason, so it comes out underwhelming a lot of times. So much so, that at this point, I've pretty much accepted that I won't like a show's ending no matter how I loved it, so I don't exactly get affected that much anymore lol.

I have to agree with you, I enjoy a tragic or sad ending far more than happier endings. I think it adds a level of gravitas that happy happy joy films just don't work for me.

Ikr! Though I have to say, the show itself can be happy/sad, that I won't mind. And you - Do you also prefer the actual content itself to be sad or more on the bubbly side?

Downward is better, but it's not an instant fail for me if it's happier, I can stand it a bit, but after too much of it...eww...

Oh that's just lack of twists then. How about something like a comedy movie/show? They're usually always more straightforward and have a cheerful tone the entire time. I like them personally.

Comedy, sure, I like a good comedy, but serious films I like them to be straight-laced, so to speak.
