Yeah, I remember. This was scrapped back in 2011 after much criticism about it's gameplay mechanics.

i have to admit i did like call back to classic games
but movie bombed at box office and also terrible movie
maybe there will be new movie lets hope not as bad was doom 3 which movie was based off of
Indeed. I'd make it so that the virus that turned those people on Mars into monsters somehow got released into the Earth's atmosphere (maybe have it conveniently "escape" from some laboratory where a sample of John Grimm's blood is kept stored for further research) and the entire world population either turned into monsters or became supermen like John Grimm did, turning an entire world into a proverbial hell on Earth, thus justifying the name of the movie I proposed.
I don't know how good would it turn out, but I'd watch it, just for the mindless slaughterfest.
