The heroic birds have been stealing clothes from skinny dippers in Angus, Scotland, and then hiding them.

For anyone who’s ever accidentally caught sight of a naked person swimming, this sounds like justice.

The swimmers at the Scottish beauty spot had been left baffled by the disappearance of their underwear.

But the mystery was solved when a gamekeeper came across a natty nest lined with pilfered pants and stolen socks.

‘What was really interesting was to see socks and underwear from a popular swimming spot actually in the nest and the surrounding trees,’ said Dave Clement, head keeper at the Gannochy Estate.

‘It was like the kites were cleaning up the glen.’
