Well, I'll just dust myself off and carry on I guess. However, they're going to keep my application on file for any other vacancies that come up.

I'm sorry to hear this news Boogie! Did they give you a reason?

No they never gave me a reason, but they said they were pleased with my application and so are keeping it on file for if any other vacancies become available.

That's good and let's hope some vacancies become available in the very near future. What ever happened with the pub?

I never heard anything back from them. I have to many things booked for the end of the year, so I may not get any luck with work till after Xmas and New Year now.

[font=tahoma, geneva, sans-serif]I guess that does put a damper on finding a job right now. It's been this long so I guess a few more months isn't really going to matter right now. Shame you couldn't find a temp. job that would match your schedule until you can commit to a permanent one.

Maybe it may be best if I wait until after Xmas and New Year now. That way I am able to go home for Xmas and New Year and I can go home for my dad and Alan's birthdays at the end of the month - mum, dad and family want me home for a weekend at the end of the month - haven't been home since April!

Well at least Tesco has your application on file and perhaps you can contact them after the New Year. Hey, that would be great...a new year and a new job!

I think it'll be better if I now wait till next year, because I can then commit to a permanent part-time position.

I don't then have a week's holiday booked till March ( Going away for a week for our Anniversary to the Isle Of Wight ) and a family holiday in May.

Aww, that's a shame, Boogie.

Better luck next time :/

Fantastic! I lived on the Island for years. Which part are you going to?

Yes, they have a Tiger sanctuary, so I'm going to visit it a few times while we're over there.

As soon as I saw 'Tiger sanctuary' I knew it was Sandown. I used to live in Shanklin. Easter is lovely on the island. All the schoolchildren were given bags of daffodil bulbs and everywhere you go you suddenly find banks of golden daffodils waving at you! It's beautiful! You might be a bit early, but if the weather's nice, you'll see them.

If you ever get a chance to go in summer, when the carnivals are on - that's really good too. Shanklin have a normal carnival procession and then an illuminated one where all the floats are covered in fairy lights. Even the town cryer has fairy lights all over him!

Go to Godshill and visit the chocolate shop! Watch it being made and buy some to eat! Yummy!

My favourite island shop is Oasis near Ryde! They sell gorgeous Balinese things for the home! Their silk flowers are beautiful! The most lifelike I've ever seen.

Sunday morning mass at Quarr Abbey is beautiful. The monks chant and sing. They sound as beautiful as the Gregorians! And they join you for a cup of tea in the gardens afterwards!

*sigh* I wish I was going back too!

Do you remember a few weeks back, I posted about Tesco? Well, I received a phone call from a gentleman at the recruitment centre this morning... He told me he had a possible job place available within my availability. So, within the next 2 to 3 days I will have... AN INDUCTION LETTER FOR TESCO... I got a place in the team after all!!
