Science reminder, folks: there are only two genetic sexes in the XY sex-determination system -- XY (male) and XX (female). (Yes, I know there are certain circumstances where this isn't the case but for all intent and purpose, there are two sexes).

Gender, on the other hand, is a social construct wholly distinct from genetics, determined by society and culture.

Now, with that out of the way, I believe this woman in the OP, Ms. Soule, was grievously wronged when Connecticut allowed transgender individuals to compete in women's sports. Yes, I believe that; I also believe trans individuals should be allowed to compete in compete in their own specific open division as FINA recently announced...

BUDAPEST — FINA, the international governing body for swimming and other aquatics sports, adopted a new gender inclusion policy that prohibits male-to-female transgender athletes who transitioned after beginning male puberty from competing in women’s events.

“We are faced with such a delicate balancing act,” FINA President Husain Al-Musallam said. “We have to protect the rights of all our athletes to compete, but we also have to protect competitive fairness at our events, especially women’s competition and also the past record and achievement of the women.”

It is entirely possible to say that we should treat all individuals with the dignity and respect we deserve as human beings; in it also entirely possible to state clearly that if you were born with XY chromosomes, either compete in the men's division or compete in an open, all-inclusive division.

Yup if they want there own little song and dance I fully support it.
But it seems to me these are people who can’t cut it as male athletes and they can’t except it and think by beating women will somehow make them feel better.

You know what I want to see, some woman pretending to be a man in kickboxing and end up in a concussion so she is a example of the absolute insanity of how bad it is for people pretending to be something they are not in sports of the opposite sex. But you will NEVER see a woman in a man’s sports like kickboxing, boxing, marathon running, etc
