Don't they get enough money from those commercials they play before you can watch a video & even the little banners on the bottom of the video while its playing? Not to mention other ads on their pages.... sheesh.

Google is going to start charging for some content on YouTube.



That's going to happen, and probably soon.



How much, what for, levels of service, and so on is still being argued about.

Google keeps floating trial balloons, then backing off, but every time they put something out via tech blog leaks, it has more specifics in it.



I'd be surprised if we make it into next year with YouTube being totally free.

Yeah, they have memberships and stuff, that nobody uses.



But if they put something like this behind the membership- more would.



I wouldn't, but more people will.

Full shows like that being uploaded by the companies I can understand. Movies too. But come on now, be ridiculous to charge for anything else.

The bad part is that you don't know the quality of the video before it starts playing. Sometimes it is so crappy it's not worth watching or the sound is off or worse yet, both.



And some of that was under the VEVO banner as well.
