How do you feel about tongue piercings?

They've kind of gone out of style. I rarely ever meet anyone has them anymore. In the past, I've met some really pretty women who had them.

I'm relieved that they're losing style!! You're right that I don't see them as often anymore too...I guess too many chipped teeth was the outcome?

Yea, broken teeth and really bad mouth infections more than likely contributed to it's downfall. Some people's tongues swell up really bad after just getting it pierced that they end up going to the clinic and getting on antibiotics.

Well, a lot of doctors don't recommend it. It's a very very bad idea. The tongue is a sensitive muscular organ. A piercing like that is bound to cause lots of health problems. It's bad for tooth enamel, gum disease, definitely can cause nerve damage to the tongue, and oh....staph infection is pretty common.

I'm not really a big fan of tongue splitting either. I don't think you should do anything to your tongue.

Oh yeah, that's gross!! Its their bodies and their right, but eww!

I respect those people who are into piercings. It is not for me to indulge in.

I have not seen anyone with it The only piercing I have on me are the ears.

That would be painful and not sure why people even go for that
