Share your opinion on heavy television use. Do you think it’s a problem? How much television do you watch? If a television is on, even in the background, do you find yourself tuning it out? How do you think your family life would be different if you cut down on the hours that the television, or televisions, in your home were on? What are the potential benefits of television-watching?

As a kid I always wanted to watch TV, at some point I just lost interest. There's very little on that I actually want to watch and, well, online's easier. Basically there isn't a lot I can cut down on.
As for benefits, there's the "learning a language" part through foreign audio and native subs. Also keeping up with the news somewhat, I guess. Newspapers, radio or the internet could fulfil much the same role.

To be honest, I rarely even watch TV. I'm too busy mainly and I get all the news or current events from the internet or radio.
