TP-Link Powerline Adapter lost its speed

We have a couple of TP-Link Powerline Adapters that were fast when we first got them a few years ago, and now they're dragging. We did a firmware update and that didn't help. Right now, wifi is faster than these, which makes them pointless to even use.

Anyone else use these? Do they conk out after a while?
