Type n’Walk App Keeps You Safe while Texting and Walking

If you’ve ever tripped, bumped into something or come close to getting hit by a car while walking and texting, this app is for you. Type ‘n Walk lays your keyboard and text box over a visual of what your iPhone’s camera sees, so you no longer have to worry about stepping into that puddle or getting hit by that bus while keeping in touch on the go.



The app has actually been in the iTunes store since 2009, but was updated in February. $.99 is a reasonable price, and the reviews are pretty solid, averaging three and a half stars, out of five. Of course, to make it really work, you’d have to hold the phone at eye level while texting- so the safety upside is somewhat offset by the risk of looking a bit odd.

That's rather sad.

A clever idea for sure, but people really should just watch where they're going.
