I am not quite sure what type of laptop to get.

I want one that will be VERY reliable and VERY fast. I understand the fast relies on my internet connection as well, but you get the point.

I also wish to make this my work computer. It would have Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Audition, Blender, and a lot of other work applications.

Any suggestions at a Reasonable price?

I always get computers (well I think Ive only ever bought 2 computers in my life) from Best Buy (http://www.bestbuy.com/). They always have the biggest selection and the best prices (around here anyway).

Yes, I know about Best Buy

, but sometimes the people there act like I am stupid when I ask about laptops, when I probably know more than them about laptops.

Anyways, I need a laptop, so I can travel with it. ^^

My brother's roommate works at the local one so I always tell him what I want and he buys it / gets an employee discount.

I have it on good authority from a friend of mine who runs his own computer repair business, that two of the most reliable laptop brands are Samsung and Acer. He says that Toshiba are one of the most unreliable and should be avoided. The reason for his recommendations are simply that he gets lots of Toshiba laptops in for repair, yet hardly any Samsung and Acer laptops.

If you're going to be doing graphic design and music/video editing your best bet would be to get a Mac. They're built with those users in mind. They're very reliable and just as fast as any other laptop built by other manufacturers. They also have much longer lasting batteries on them too.

Agreed. Build quality is something Apple take pride in but it does come at a premium.
