Hmm, you know those foods that aren’t exactly pretty but taste absolutely amazing. Are there any dishes you love that might not look appealing at first glance but you can't get enough of because of their incredible flavour. Do you have any like this?

I'm sure that there are some, but I haven't been out of bed very long...so I'm gonna have to think on it. :p:LOL:
I LOVE deep-fried oysters, but they probably look okay until you bite into one & can see what's inside. :ROFLMAO:

Probably, you're right, the shock might come after the first bite, like, 'What is this?' Talking about oysters, seafood, in general, would definitely be high on a lot of people’s lists especially octopus but not to me

For me, I’d have to think. There are a few, and when I started this topic, I didn’t mean anything as extreme as bugs.

The first thing that comes to mind is spinach, depending on how it’s cooked, it can look a bit unappealing. I won’t go into details, but it’s one of those foods that might not look great yet tastes good. Personally, I think it tastes amazing, though I know some people aren’t fans, especially since it can be a bit bland in certain dishes.

Try the "Garbage Dish" from New York.

It's basically all your leftovers thrown together in a disarray of madness... and it's glorious.

^ that doesnt even sound delightful.

Jackfruit.
Used in lots of vegetarian and/or vegan dishes; its' ugly as sin, the fruit looks a mix of peanuts and eggs mashed together, but its' pretty good.

in my op shrimp looks disgusting.

Yes! Canned spinach looks and tastes gross. It was the only form that Mom pushed on me as a child....my only 'bait' was the Popeye Image. Later on I discovered how good very slightly wilted spinach with a little butter is; also just raw in salads or such.

When I put some thought into it, almost any raw meat looks disgusting most especially liver; but I really like most all meats when cooked "right".
When pan-frying frog legs they do creep me out a little the way they jump around in the pan, but they taste amazing.
Rattlesnake does the same thing: wiggles around in the pan even tho' it's skinned & chopped into portions; edible IMO, but is like chicken breast that's too dry.
