I want to apologize in advance because this post may be rather long, and it's regarding my personal life and decisions.

To start off I want to mention that I went to college as a last-minute decision and graduated with an AAS Business Management degree (Associate's) back in May of 2021. My college was free for the first two years because of some scholarships I had received. With this being said, I applied to be an assistant manager at a fast-food chain and I got the job. I worked this job for around 6 months, but I was never treated the best, and the pay wasn't all that great. They were paying me $12 an hour to do various jobs while maintaining a management role. They eventually pushed me to the end of my rope and I quit on the spot. I moved on to another job, working for a loan company as a Retention Specialist. This job was decent and I was making around $23 per hour after my monthly bonuses. Unfortunately, they sold the company, and the new owners were terrible, it caused all of our previous management to quit. In conclusion, I left and now I'm with a 3rd party (outsourced) call center for Optum Insurance under the management I had at the loan company. Unfortunately, I really dislike the hours, I work from 11:30 am to 8 pm. I don't feel like I'm completely satisfied, and I'm certainly not happy. I even took a $5 pay cut coming to this company. With this being said, I don't know what to do. I don't know which career path to go down, I don't know if I want to go back to college for something other than business, I just don't know. There's a ton of I don't know, but that is just how I feel.

I think you will eventually find something that you like and will meet your needs. I've been stuck with jobs that I was not happy yet that didn't either pay enough or had a toxic environment that added too much to my stress level.

I know your pain and dread, the best thing to do is just keep looking at the job market, it's wide open right now and the best time to find a different career.

Think about what you are passionate about and then find a job that fits into it.

I love this advice from Steve Jobs Stanford commencement speech, and I always try to follow it as much as I can.

You’ve got to find what you love, and that is as true for work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking and don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it and, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking. Don’t settle.

There's a wide array of jobs open. You just have to take a look, and keep looking, until you find that job you'll be happier with and be able to support yourself with.

@Dfarmer2001 Thank you for your deep post. Jobs are a dime a dozen around here. Places can't get enough workers so there will always be something you could find. Find a job you don't feel so stressed at then you will have the time to think about your career path.
Keep us in the loop, okay? :)
