RICHMOND, Va.—A federal court ruled Monday that a central plank of the health law violates the Constitution, dealing the biggest setback yet to the Obama administration's signature legislative accomplishment.

In a 42-page ruling, U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson said the law's requirement that most Americans carry insurance or pay a penalty exceeds the constitutional boundaries of congressional power.

Thank God for Richmond, VA!!! Forced insurance payments are the biggest socialist problem of Obamacare. I think it's what ran Pelosi into the gutter this past election. (Where she belongs.)

There are actually idiots out there who believe IF they pay the $700-$1,000 FINE (yearly), that they will be covered with insurance. Where in tarnation did they get that idea? It's FALSE. They must pay the FINE and get insurance or deal with the IRS to collect it yearly! And we all know how deadly the IRS is. Brutal.

I don't personally have a stake in Obamacare (since we have insurance) but I believe it's against everything this country holds dear. Namely, FREEDOM. How dare they tell people they are mandated to make enormous monthly payments - to the government - for something they simply can't fit into their budgets? Oh, but the omnipotent government is going to mandate it and decide who can and can't afford it. Please.

It burns my butt and doesn't even affect me personally, but I see it as a huge step towards socialism. Horrible, horrible. Grrrrr

BRING ON 2012 already. Get the socialists out of office.

Not Socialism, Corporatism. To all the social welfare-haters out there, this is a good ol' deal for the Health Insurance Industry which gets guaranteed customers at their mercy.

IRS, deadly? I haven't heard of any cases of the IRS whacking anybody in their interactions with the public...yet, if one is on healthcare, they can be dropped and refused coverage, and then be unable to pay for procedures...and then...die. The government is hardly omnipotent; CEOs of large banks and other industries have been more in control in the past decade (and more, but not so painfully so since 2000).

Bring on 2012 - I can't wait to see the Palinites get regurgitated.
