Are there any jobs you think are not paid enough?

Why doesn't society value those workers highly enough?

Should these people be paid what they are worth?

Teachers! Teachers need to be paid a fair wage for the work they do, the fact that they need to goto school to become a teacher, and the fact they have to put up with kids all day, every day. We need to value our teachers more and pay them accordingly, because the worse they get paid, the lower the quality of teachers becomes. Pay them what they're worth and you'll get more attentive, more caring and more involved teachers. What I had in high school were babysitters, essentially, handing out forms and making you read a section of text and answering questions. I hear now it's even worse, basically just taking courses by browsing websites and filling in forms...get real teachers back in classrooms, pay them appropriately and let them TEACH. Not parrot style, real learning.

How in the world do we balance out what teachers are paid with what "professional" basketball players & coaches are paid?

Right?! They get paid MILLIONS for playing a game, teachers have to put up with some absolutely intense working conditions and sometimes undesirable students and they get paid peanuts...it's backwards!
