Out of everyone you have met: who has the most unfortunate name?

My answer:

There is maintenance man where I work. His name is Richard Hurtz. He insists on being called Dick not Richard. His name badge reads: Dick Hurtz.

Old boss: Frank Huntstein

hahahaha....very funny. I have heard some names like "Malik" that means "owner" or "Boss" but he is a servant in a house.

Back in another life when I was working for an insurance company, yes, I did that for awhile too, long enough to prove to all and sundry that I had no business working for an insurance company....

There was an 'ethnic' woman who had named her several illegitimate children things that, at least according to her, were Swahili names. She was all about being "African". Oh well.

One of them was, and this was on his birth certificate and his insurance form: Gofart

His first name was "Gofart", even now, thirty some odd years later, I still remember that unique spelling.

As near as I can tell, and as this thread reminded me of it so I went and bounced it off several translators and a couple of the African search engines ( http://www.oafrica.com/web/uniquely-african-search-engines/ ).... that is not an African name, nor is it even a Swahili word.

Next time, I'll tell you about Beauvadeen.
