A few people have had problems with the View New Content link at the top.
If you go into your settings: http://offtopix.com/index.php?app=core&module=usercp
At the bottom of that General Settings page, you will see Search Settings and a drop down box. Try using Show me all content that I have not read instead of the other one. That seems to be working better for people.
You can use the Mark Read feature in conjunction with the View New Content page. After you have skimmed the board and read/replied to everything that interests you, you can mark the board or a single forum as read so when you return next time, only posts that have been made since your last visit will show up as new posts. The spoiler below shows you the Mark Read link locations.
To mark the entire board as read, there is a link at the very bottom of every page.
To mark a single forum as read (for example, it marks all the topics in only the Photos, Art & Graphics forum as read), there is a link just under the Start New Topic button while viewing the forum.
