This needs to be done in every leftist city ruined across America from the stupid policies they enact.

Shockingly no riots occurred in Olympia, Washington as thousands of citizens defying the state’s gun laws–many of them openly armed with rifles and pistols–rallied at the state capital in Olympia to oppose I-594, the state’s new anti-gun law which is one of the most strict anti-gun laws in the country.

Dubbed the “I Will Not Comply” rally, over 3,000 freedom lovers and gun owners rallied in Olympia over the weekend to protest I-594.

But can you believe it? No riots occurred. No one was hurt or killed. No property was destroyed. No cops attacked. No tear gas used in response.

Fed up with the passage of an 18½-page incoherent, rambling, unconstitutional gun control initiative that was bankrolled by billionaires, gun owners across Washington state held the largest felony civil disobedience rally in the nation’s history, brazenly titled “I Will Not Comply.” No one was hurt and no stores were looted. Between 1,000 and 3,000 lawful gun owners showed up openly armed at the state capitol in Olympia, Wash., on Saturday to defy the newly passed gun control law, I-594.

Organizer Gavin Seim made the extraordinary nature of the rally very clear, “This isn’t just a protest. We are here to openly violate the law.” Attendees publicly transferred their guns to each other in violation of I-591’s background check provisions, and some even bought and sold guns just a few feet away from law enforcement. A fire pit blazed throughout the rally, and at the conclusion, gun owners lined up to burn their concealed weapons permits. A petition was circulated affirming gun owners’ refusal to follow I-594, which ended with, “We pledge our blood. We will not comply.”

As the RSVPs in advance of the rally grew to over 6,000, the police – most who probably detest I-594 – decided not to enforce the law. The Washington State Patrol announced there would be no arrests for exchanging guns – not even for selling guns. Seim refused to obtain a permit to hold the rally, citing the right of people to peaceably assemble.

*reads opening post* Gavin Seim...isn't he the one who called out a Washington state cop for driving around in an unmarked vehicle a few months back? :|

That said, its' 'bout time gun owners stood up like that! *adds deadpan* ..never thought I'd ever say that...man, have I changed my political stripes or what?

Have a question for you what was your pivot point for the change? What it is it that seemed to hit you after the elections to say I am looking at this all wrong?

It was a multitude of pivots, Liberty...and, for the record, it was before the election, not at the time of the mid-terms.

Mainly it was two things, though: (1)the constant demonization of opposing points of view from the Left that became increasingly unable to defend. I mean, its' one to criticize something; we all do that...but usually, most of us respect the other person. Not so with some on the Left, who seemed to revel in taking their criticism and bashing of opposing views/persons to depravingly low levels, even for this day and age, and (2)over time, I found myself increasingly alone on the proverbial island over certain issues and it got to a point where it basically became either become another Lefty political clone or admit to one's self that your views have changed and that it was time for a change.

*scratches head in thought* ..don't know if that makes sense, but it is what it is...

I agree. Yes I saud it I actually agree with you on something. :P We just disagree on the specifics and just how bad our police have turned into a police state. It has begun I just do not agree with how severe the problem is YET.

It was not severe decades ago. But it is becoming a issue because starting decades ago liberal politicians, judges and people with that kind of thinking began getting weak on crime. Weak on crime means more crime. More crime means cops ramping up to fight such crime. So if we have a overpowered police force left leaning thinking is 100% to blame for todays problems.
