iPhones, or sometimes Android devices that can't update. The Moto G is the only mid-tier device that has 5.1.

Buying the newest models of their mobile phones, even though the ones they already have are perfectly usable, but do it anyway just so they can brag and show them off in public.

Dating. Do I really need to say more?

Traveling around the world, going to expensive vacations, etc.

What can't you believe that people waste money on?

Hmm honestly I can't believe some people waste their money on a bunch of needless gadgets. I had a roommate who would always order stuff online but it was never anything for a hobby or out of necessity. It was just literally random stuff that she would half of the time not even open. Some of the things I've seen her purchase in the past was cheap rings, a bunch on small ducks, stuff to make bracelets (she had never opened to packaged or made a bracelet). She got an earring making kit (again never opened). She got a bunch of squishies (I think that's what they are called) but she would just shove them all on the floor in a corner of a room and never touch them.

I remember getting annoyed and frustrated with her because our apartment was getting cluttered with her stuff that she would never use, she would just have. It was also frustrating and annoying because she would always complain she didn't have money but in any room other than my room that you would go into would be full of stuff that she bought and just didn't care to use or sell or do anything with.

So yeah, I can't believe people waste their money on these small expenses (like temu, shein etc.) not thinking that the spending will add up and expecting their life to be more fulfilled.

Exactly. I know a few people that have a major problem with gambling. They spend a bunch of money on slot machines and do it often.😱

It really depends on how you look at it.

For some, certain things might seem like a waste of money, but for others, they might be important or needed. If you can afford it, and you’ve covered your bills and other priorities, especially if you’ve got a family, then it’s not really a waste.
Everyone has different things that matter to them, so what one person thinks is unnecessary might be important to someone else. In the end, it’s about finding a balance between needs and wants.

Things like getting your nails done every 2-3 weeks. I get the idea of pampering yourself and nails can be fun and different, so I'm not dogging on anyone for getting them done. It's just not something I do for myself and can't justify the amount to put color on my nails. Then again, I'll drop some good money on action figures. We all have our things.
