Wasted My Whole Day!

I ordered a delivery of hay for my horse. I ordered it last week and it was scheduled to arrive today. They told me it would be here between 8 am and 4 pm. Someone had to be home to accept delivery and pay for it. I needed to run out to the store today but didn't dare leave the house and risk missing the delivery. Well...here it is 5 pm and still no delivery. I called and it's going directly to answering machine. I wasted all day and had things I needed to do!

Has this ever happened to you too?

I'd be looking for somewhere else to take my custom.



I think we've all had times like this, waiting in for someone

who doesn't arrive. It's damn annoying.

It's annoying and irritating, maybe you should adopt an eighteen year old and he could have waited all day for it, he could help you reach the high shelves sometimes, and well, other stuff.

I'd be asking for a free bale or find another supplier.

They called back this morning. They had the wrong delivery day written down. To apologize for the inconvenience, they are giving me a free bale.

That's great Jazzy, good to see they were honest

enough to admit their mistake and make amends

@Chatsie: It's a local farmer and in a way I felt bad taking the free bale of hay. The farmers don't make much from their products but he insisted. I don't know now who felt worse, me or him.

Perhaps you should have compromised and got half of it free !

Perhaps you should have compromised and got half of it free !

I don't always like this method. Paying for half of something and getting the other half for free. This method always confuses me because I feel as if I should just as well be buying the whole lot rather than paying for half of it. I don't know... always did feel uncomfortable about this.
