I thought it was a hoax.

I hoped it was a hoax.

It doesn't look like it is.

In a scarcely believable ruling, a panel of experts threw out a claim that regular water consumption is the best way to rehydrate the body.

The bizarre diktat from Brussels has far-reaching implications for member states, including Britain, as no water sold in the EU can now claim to protect against dehydration.

  • UKIP MEP Paul Nuttall: ‘I had to read this four or five times before I believed it. This makes the bendy banana law look positively sane’
  • Ruling, announced after a conference of 21 EU-appointed scientists, given final approval this week by European Commission President Barroso

Bottled water industry said ruling won't affect us at all

What? I don't know about bottled water, but tap water is fine. There is a reason why the water is allowed to come through your tap...nobody's died from drinking it.

I suppose the three years was spent on deciding how much money would be needed to get these scientists to come to this agreement as no man of logic would come to such wild conclusions without being bribed to do so.

All I have to say is I will be hanging out over here with reality. Those fountains of wisdom are more the welcome to join me when they are ready to do so.

Bribed or Threatened, like those that had to sign the 'man made global warming' report or go get a job at that you want fries with that place?

That's only one case, though. Tap water has to pass strict regulations, and if it isn't safe to drink then someone isn't doing their job properly.

Exactly. Tap water has very strict guidelines. Unfortunately I live on a farm, so we do drink bottled vs the well.

I drink tap water more than bottled water, because in Scotland it's more purer than water in England. Besides, I think this whole thing is a hoax so I don't believe on what people are saying on this.

Wait what? o.O

That's weird... and useless. Like anyone's going to ban water...

Oh thank God this isn't in the States. Last time I went to the dentist I got yelled at for drinking too much pop. Finally quit Mountain Dew a while back (haven't had one for at least a couple months now) and now I either drink sprite or coke. That's weird that in some places it's not healthy to drink water. They make it sound like it's just as dangerous as drinking a carbonated beverage that has loads of sugar in it.

It took the 21 scientists on the panel three years of analysis into the link between water and dehydration to come to their extraordinary conclusion.

21 scientists spent three years of analysis on water and dehydration!? 21 scientists? 3 years?

Should I say more?
