Everyone masters hand-washing as a kid—or so you thought. In a 2013 Journal of Environmental Health study, just 5% of participants washed their hands long enough after using the bathroom. What’s more, 23% didn’t use soap, and 10% didn’t bother to wash their hands at all. Gross!

Lathering up is one of the best things you can do to prevent the spread of germs, especially during cold and flu season.

Everyday at work I see people come in to the bath room, go to the toilet, come out and dip they're hands under the tap then go to dry - don't see much point in them drying the water barely touched they're skin.  Then they walk out. During that time I am STILL washing my hands.
I don't half get some stares for washing my hands the CORRECT way!
Every year I have to do health and hygiene courses so am taught regularly and put it into practice.

Been to a restaurant lately and watched the wait staff run the cash register, go clear another table, then on their way back out of the kitchen stop, pick up your order and bring it to you?

Just saw this very thing this morning at the diner. :green:

food safe protocol, you turn on the water, rinse for 10 seconds, apply soap, and mix for 10 second, then rinse the soap off for 10 seconds, leave the water running, get a paper towel, dry hands then use paper towel to turn off water, bam, you're clean... for 5 seconds...

Working in a retail position where I'm in contact with feet/shoes, and taking care of the cleaning business myself without the help of a janitor, yeah, you bet your ass I'm gonna wash my hands right. I can see how people don't, though. Gross.

When I am in bars and I go to the toilet, I would say that less than 50% of the men wash there hands on the way out..

I don't even touch the door handle with my bare hand
