First off I like @PGen98 but I got involved in a contentious thread. Didn't want to comment but against my better judgement did. Since then my temper has gotten the better of me and I've gone into my defensive mode. Having written that the insults about me that I've had to read are laughable. How on earth can people judge anyone based on a few posts?

I've asked for instructions on how to delete my account and so far they have not been forth coming. It has gone too far and there is no turning back now. The staff really ought to ban my account as I no longer feel that I can be respectful, or diplomatic anymore. We have gone past that point now.

I'm sorry that you feel this way, but we prefer not to ban accounts as a general rule. I'm sorry that thread managed to go so far off the rails, but we WERE having a productive discussion prior to that. I think there's room there to build upon. Perhaps take some time to calm down and then return? I wouldn't mind engaging in more discussions with you on a civil level.

I may turn you into a trans ally yet :D

For the record: @LBJ is not banned, he simply changed his username to @Banned & scrambled his email to essentially “ban” himself I suppose.

LBJ, you probably won't read this but I'm going to post it anyways. I never personally got to talk to you in a thread, but I did notice you liked a few of my posts and you've seemed to have agreed with me on some takes. You chose to learn about the trans community with PGen as your guide and you were growing as a person. I'm sorry that one bad apple started name calling you and pushed you to leave the forum. I do hope you return one day, you seemed like a cool guy.

I honestly think a lot of people are just uneducated and/or ignorant when it comes to the trans community or LGBTQ+ community. They believe anything on the TV about it and don't really bother learning or being educated on the actual facts about it. It's a surprise when anyone actually wants to learn and not be a bigot when it comes to this.

I appreciate those who take the time to learn about the LGBTQ+ community and the trans community. It's horrible the things people think about us, and if they'd just take a moment to learn, they'd see we're not the monsters we keep getting made out to be.

Although since it is the Internet I usually do assume people are bad faith posting and being bad actors. I feel that is why so many people including me just outright get defensive and don't allow that stuff regardless on them being uneducated or not.
