Do you ever get the feeling that at some point a support staff member on a forum is being rude to you?

Like, if you post in the wrong forum for support or something, and they act kind of rude over a simple mistake.

But it's support..they aren't there to give me a pleasant experience I guess.

I mainly see rude staff on huge forums (like digital point or the admin zone). I think its because they have to deal with problems / violations of the rules so frequently that they lose all patience.

That doesnt mean I agree with it though, just trying to rationalize it.

No excuse for rude staff. If you're incapable of dealing with problems, then you're not fit for the task. Some people love what they do, and others do not. Ones who do not are more likely to be the ones who are rude.

Nope, all of the Invision Power support team members has been extremely helpful towards me

I had that happen to me on one forum. No matter what I posted this one staff member just kept posting the opposite or trying to take my thread off topic. I asked this person why and they told me that I was posting too much! How on earth can you be rude to a member that makes a lot of posts is beyond me. Needless to say, I left that forum. IMO, there is no need to be rude and if you can't handle the staff job then quit!

I've encounted rude staff alot! Like someone said, If your not fit for the job in the first place, why take it.

That honestly makes no sense. If you're being active. Why have an issue with it?
