What anti-virus do you use?

I'm using Avast too.

Do you always get things popping up in the right corner too? I think it happens a little too often.

Microsoft Security Essentials. Can't afford an actual AV besides that, but it's certainly getting the job done, and was free with Windows.

I have a Mac. That is my anti virus ;)
Uhuh.

You don't sound convinced ;)

Seriously, the risk of malware on the Mac is quite low so in theory I don't need any anti-virus software. A lot can be avoided by simply not being an idiot.

It's not like there aren't any viruses for Mac.

That does help. In theory you could get by without antivirus software (on any platform), however I'm not too sure that's wise while you're connected to the web.

AVG Free. Used to use Norton 360 and Kaspersky but ended up paying too much money for them.

Yes when it has done an update. I agree, it does happen a little too often.

I had two anti-virus softwares on my laptop since I bought it five years ago. First, it was Morton, but it was a free trial version. I had McAfee, but did not work because my computer got infected with a bad virus a few years ago and didn't remove it.

I currently have Microsoft Security Essentials.

I hate those free trial things. They keep popping up saying "20 days left. Buy now!" then the next day 19 days left... and so on.

It got to the point where it said, "Your trial version of [antivirus program] expired. Your computer is in jeopardy of receiving viruses and spyware."
