Hey /r/books, long time lurker of your fantastic world, but I've got a question for you all!
What are your favorite fantasy books that have no prequels, sequels, or other books within the same world? Books that can weave both a world and a story into one single story. I was looking through my 'library' yesterday and realized I didn't have a single one-off fantasy book that I thoroughly enjoyed.
And sorry if this seems like more of a /r/suggestmeabook thread, but I'm more interested in the discussions of this, rather than just being told what to read (I can go to Amazon for that!) (Reddit user Tralexer)
