After you make your chili...what other food items do you add to it?

Jalapenos and hot sauce cause I love spicy chili and other foods.
 
I never cooked this, i had to check what dish it is ... but Jalapenos seems will be perfect .
How to you eat this with rice or just on its own .

I usually add rice to it with jalapenos with hot sauce with it.

Chili is a pretty common nationwide dish in the U.S.
I prefer a mild chili. Sometimes grated cheese, crumbled crackers, tortilla chips or Fritos on top. Also goes very well with cornbread.

Is this chilli con carne or different because i saw some on the supermarkets started to bring something like this

I usually add just Jalapenos, Ghost Peppers or Carolina Reapers to mine after...none of my family likes spices like me.
 
Definitely not. I raised myself to deal with the heat.
If you had this from young age definitely can handle more spicy meals.
I can eat spicy food but not sure what lever it is.:)

Always good when you go and try different foods out...if it tastes good just mild, hot or really hot foods...but if you didn't like spice to it...it's better off plain. ;)

Basically the same dish; the difference would be that there would usually be no beans in the "con carne" version; and would cost more than the "with beans" label. :)
In canned chili, the taste/spices they use will usually vary some from brand to brand.

I like to try different foods thats for sure spice or not ... even if i go to a restaurant ... most people will pick what they like i will pick what i never tried before if there is any.

Ok thank a lot i did try once but had no beans ... but like most ready meals are bad ...i guess i will need to make it to see how it taste ... :hug:

:dontknow: You probably already know that some canned goods/prepared foods are pretty good, especially handy to keep on hand; and others, other brands are just downright crummy. There are some pretty good brands of canned chili. :)

There's a good canned chilis out there...some are so good just the way they are...some of them adding stuff to it makes them taste better.

I alway keep some canned .. but the best canned food are fish and tuna the rest either they are ok or bad very few are really good ..

Do you have this brand Stagg ... is it any good

I don't see it much in the stores these days where I buy groceries; but, in the past, Yes, it was pretty good. Try some with beans, also "con carne" to decide if you like either one.
Gebhardt's used to be a good brand; I think they've gone under, but I did find this: looks pretty simple:

Unfortunately, cans of Gebhardt's chili con carne have not appeared on grocery shelves for many years, but Gebhardt's Mexican Foods did share their recipe with Al and Mildred Fischer for their 1984 "Chili-Lovers' Cook Book". The recipe is as follows:

Gebhardt's Chili con Carne
Courtesy Gebhardt's Mexican Foods -- San Antonio, Texas

2 lbs. MEAT (chopped fine)
4 Tbsp. Gebhardt's CHILI POWDER
2 cloves GARLIC (minced)
4 Tbsp. FLOUR
4 Tbsp. FAT
1 lg. ONION (chopped)
1 Tbsp. SALT
1 quart HOT WATER

Use cheaper cuts of meat; cut into small chunks (DO NOT grind). Mix with chili powder, garlic and flour. Melt fat in deep pot and sauté onion until tender. Add the meat and cook 15 minutes. Add salt. Gradually pour on hot water. Simmer one hour (or until tender). (Serves 4 to 6)

Another pretty good brand you could look for is Cattle Drive Gold. I don't think that they make "con carne".
