What gives you energy besides caffeine?

If I know a day is going to be longer, and stranger, than usual.

I take a B-complex vitamin with breakfast.
Probably a good idea; but, blood tests show that I have an overload of B in my system. :dontknow::dontknow:

Are there side effects to that?
You know, I should probably look that up because I don't know. :dontknow:
The problem I had with that is that I had been taking a B supplement for years & my blood test results on that were WAY off the charts on the high side; which can't possibly be a good thing.

Okay here we go:

"Vitamins are required for life. A minimum daily dose of each vitamin is necessary to maintain good health. Significantly exceeding this dose, however, can cause illness. In general, the symptoms of vitamin toxicity include nausea, gastrointestinal problems like constipation and diarrhea, hair loss, rashes, and nerve damage.

It is unusual to overdose on vitamins through megadose supplements, but people sometimes receive an unsafe dose of some vitamins by combining fortified foods with supplements.
As B vitamins are often given as supplements and found in fortified foods, there is some risk of taking too much B vitamin. There are eight B vitamins; thiamine, ribovlavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, pyridoxine, biotin, folic acid, and cobalamine. Each functions as an enzymatic cofactor or is a precursor to an enzymatic cofactor enabling many of the basic functions of metabolism in the body.

I’m not much of a coffee drinker, so soda is typically what I’m drinking. There’s caffeine in it, but there’s also a ton of sugar. I’d give that plenty of credit for the energy it gives me too.

I didn't start drinking coffee until my early-mid 20s; before that I was totally addicted to Coke. Yeah, caffeine + 0 calories/sugar! (y)

I suppose I could say just coffee for me, but it doesn’t really do much, i even nodded off while holding a cup many times.
A proper sleep makes the biggest difference I think, but that’s something I don’t get a lot of. I do take a B complex now and then, and at the moment I’m also on iron tablets since my levels have been low. Still, I think good food and decent rest are the best things for energy, even if they’re not always easy to manage.
I have cut out soda completely these days. I didn’t have them often before either , but now I don’t touch them at all.
