This is something i wrote, and i would like some serious criticism/feedback. I'm sure it's not very good, and probably a little too passionate but i'm not a sour grape, i cant take some feedback!

A book is defined as a written or printed work consisting of pages glued or sewn together along one side and bound in covers. A real book is defined as something that leaves the person who read it more informed, stronger, vulnerable, enlightened, malicious and most importantly different. A book’s sole purpose is to change the perspective of a person, even if for a second; to act as an external medium, accessing people’s internal logistics.

Some may argue that a book inspires people, and feeds ideas, but if a human’s got the potential for greatness, it will find its way through any medium. No, what a book does is simply change perspective. In allowing you to see the world with different eyes, to really understand why something stands glorified in our terribly lonely lives. To isolate a split second moment in the time frame of our universe, and magnify it to a breathtaking degree. A book serves to take that moment and stretch it to infinity, and make it an enlightenment within itself. A book serves to suspend that moment in time by a string, and have it hang with no resistance from an oppressing force. On that hanging eternity, you can stand, and on that hanging eternity, you can see. See a completely different view than one might find on another hanging moment, floating still in the distance, an eternity and a page away. These unique perspectives allow us to momentarily see the abstract blue prints of our minds, and construct our own thinking towers. Books are the soldiers of the mind; they do what they can for their country.

First, why is it the same thing twice? o.O

Second, well, it's a very accurate perception. Nice.

Sorry about that

I found this line to be very profound:

A book serves to take that moment and stretch it to infinity, and make it an enlightenment within itself. A book serves to suspend that moment in time by a string, and have it hang with no resistance from an oppressing force

After that you kind of lost me with the hanging eternity. I liked the theme of blueprints and constructing thinking towers.

Books are the soldiers of the mind; they do what they can for their country.

I like this metaphor but I think it needs to connect better. Connect the concept of books being soldiers of the mind and how that relates to their country. Whether you mean country in the literal sense or if you mean it to be a metaphor for something else. Is the mind their country?

Yeah, i see what you mean. The soldiers line is a little to out there, doesn't really connect to the rest of it.

Is a 'book' just the pages?

Or is it the ideas on those pages?

But other than that. Yeah. If you didn't hit the 'bulls-eye', you're close.

Well, bulls eye is what i'm going for
