What is the difference between being alive and truly living?

:|

Depends from person to person. Some people will say they don't feel "truly alive" unless they engage in extreme, often life threatening activities, like bungee jumping, paragliding, parachuting, car racing, etc.

Others, on the other hand, are perfectly content doing nothing more than breathing, eating, drinking and sleeping, the bare minimum required to sustain vital life functions.

Being alive means you are just here for the ride. Truly living, is taking the positive steps to make the ride the best it can be.

I think its just a mind set. I see them as the same thing while someone else has a different definition.
