What It's Like When A Cop Is Driving Behind You

It used to happen to me a couple of times a year.
Except the cop would be directly IN FRONT of me, and just off slightly to the passenger side.
You see, I'd drive the motorhome down to the campground at the beach two or three times a year. And in that thing, NOTHING happens quickly, and you don't go over the speed limit. And we'd usually go done on a Monday, and then leave on Friday before the crowds came in.
So going one way or the other, I'd be in the right hand land, chugging along right at the speed limit, and, here he comes.....
.... a State Trooper would pass me, then get over in the right hand lane right in front of me, and STAY THERE. Totally invisible to anything coming from back yonder.
Sure enough, in a few minutes, some 'yaywho' would come rocketing along and pass us.
And, sure enough, all of the sudden those lights would come on and... well, a mile or so up the road, I'd pass the trooper and his new friend with a smile and a wave.
