I used to use Windows all the time.
Always wanted MacOS so mainly I use MacOS now but use a windows PC in my works office (2 times a week) and when I want to play somethimg that need powerful graphics.

Graphics aren't good on Mac's?

Well. Maybe they are great. But you can't play serious games on it because games aren't optimized for it.
Interesting. I don't really play games on computers anyways so I wouldn't know :P

Sure you can. In fact, you can play the most serious game of them all. It's called Serious Sam. It's so serious, the word "serious" is in the title. ;) :p

Well there are ways to play.
But you have to do workarounds

Virtualization is a piece of cake nowadays. Granted, I'm not a Mac user, so I haven't had the opportunity to give Parallels a try, but I'm using VMware and VirtualBox on a Windows machine. It's actually quite cool once you get into it. :)

I also used Windows OS since the start as they support more software and games than I do, and not to mention I'm used to it more than other software. I have used other OS before and beyond and in the passed :)

Right now I'm using Windows 10 on my laptop and have Windows 11 on my Desktop :)

I dread the day we get Windows 11 at work. So many computer - illiterate people there who cringe at any change. Every single change, no matter how minuscule, is enough to make them stop dead in their tracks. And I'm their IT support. Le sigh...

I've been using it on my laptop and it works great for me. And i looks nicer too
Hmm, maybe I'll upgrade.

They'll learn eventually!

That's the thing. They don't want to learn. They actively oppose and reject all my attempts to teach them... well, anything beyond the absolute minimum they need to do their work half-assed, so they don't get fired for under-performing.

I've had people looking at me in confusion, saying why should they learn this or that, despite it being necessary for their work process, but since it requires more than just a single mouse click, they immediately dismiss and reject any attempt to learn it, saying that I'm there anyway, so they can always ask me to do it.

Okay, that's great, but what if I'm somehow unavailable, like being on a vacation or a sick leave? Then what? Who's going to do it? My two coworkers who do the same job as me are often absent on fake sick leaves, so, despite my best intentions and effort, there are times all three of us are absent at the same time. No one thinks about that in advance, and when it happens, it's panic mode. Sheesh.

That sucks. I say you need to take a break and let the place fall apart without you!

It's falling apart as it is anyway. My power is limited. There's not much I can do, and people who had the power to do something have resigned and left, since their attempts to make any improvements have been rejected by the powers-that-be. People in charge prefer status quo, they don't want anything to change.

Well then let shit hit the fan and just sit back and say "I told you so" :P

I for the longest time ran Apple OSX and was a Windows hater (PlayStation fan) but 4 years ago i built my own PC and now I'm a Windows 10 user.
It's pretty simple so i like it. Won't be pasting to Windows 11 until I have to personally.
