I've used the search function, and trawled the first three pages of this section, and not found a topic on this, but so I hope I'm okay in creating the topic!

Out of curiosity, what forum promotion websites do you guys use, if any? I use

http://www.forumadvertiser.com/index.php

http://forumpromotion.net/forum/index.php

http://www.ezpromotion.net/index.php

http://adminnetwork.org/index.php

http://www.theadminzone.com/forums/index.php (to a degree)

I also used to use PromotionSource, but something has happened to that? I'm guessing that they've not renewed their hosting, or their domain has run out? (Anyone know what?)

So yeah, which promotion sites do you guys use?

The owner of Promotion Source sold his forum to some moron for 750 dollars and ruined the site in 24 hours hence why it's gone.

I don't really use any tbh. Sorta don't see the point in them and haven't for a long time.

I'm trying to cut back on promotion forums. And yeah, promotion-source went down in a hurry.

Why are you trying to cut back?

Well, because promotion forums can only help you so much in the long run, and after a time you should try and find other means of promotion, which is kind of what I'm currently trying to do. Promotion forums can only help you so much anyways. That's my opinion, anyway.

After running a highly successful advertising forum for nearly 2 years, Ive kind of gotten burned out on them.. If I am a member of one I either go there when I am doing a mass bump (I keep all my advert topics in a list) or just to participate in the off topic sections.. Mainly in FP's off topic sections as their forum is actually active as compared to the others that will probably be shut down in a month or two anyways due to inactivity.

^ That's very gracious of you, to assist in the forum's activity, as opposed to just bumping your own topics.

^ Haha, yeah I do. I jjust forgot to list it as it was a late addition

Never actively used any after the old Forum Advertiser.

I've gotten pretty lazy with my promoting now...

Though, I come on Forum Promotion every now and then.

I keep hearing a lot about Forum Advertiser on here; I gather that it was a forum run by Nebulous? Are there any archives or anything that I can view about it?

Actually, one of the only advertisement forums I use these days is The Admin Zone. They've been pretty helpful to us, and the members there are usually really good at giving constructive feedback, like, I like your forum a lot, but I honestly think you should make these changes and they'll list what those changes are. That's one promotion forum right there that I'd recommend. However, they're pretty strict about promoting: Your site has to be so many days old before you can promote there, for starters. I think the tops is three months old.

If I am to count it, The Admin Zone. Also, Forum Promotion. When it comes to FP, I spend most of my time there reading the Managing Your Forum section. As for TAZ, it has been helpful for the following reasons, which I've posted before:

The Admin Zone is responsible for answering several of my phpBB-related (and later vBulletin-related) questions, and served as a useful resource during the research phase for my article, [vBulletin 3x] Style-Specific Rank Images. Also, I received a worthwhile review for my forum, and got much useful feedback about my introduction guidelines (leading to further drafting by me).

Regards,

Kevin
