What was your least favorite part time job?

Probably when I was fully hired on to work for a store known as Dollar Tree. I only got to work once a week. And for 4 hours. Don't get me wrong, I liked the place and the people. It just would have been nice to have had more hours.

I was a waitress at a rest stop. Full bus loads of people would come in and after serving all of them, they would leave me a $2 tip

I worked for minium wage and counted on tips to help suppliment my income. It's a thankless job and people are really nasty at times. I was on my feet and carrying heavy trays for 8 hours a day. At the end of the week, I was lucky if I brought home $150.00 on a good week. Needless to say, I quit!

I had a paper route when I was 14. It has horrible. Had to be up every day at 4am 7 days a week. No day off ever. If I ever needed to be off because I was going out of town or whatever, I had to find my own substitute. Needless to say I only lasted a month.

I've had a lot of shitty PT jobs. One of them was a kennel assistant at a dog daycare & resort.

Low pay, high stress... 👎

It was an unethical establishment with a horrible, degrading, clique-y management, and they often would put an employee alone with dozens of big dogs in one pen that wasn't nearly large enough for the energy and stamina of so many, including multiple malamutes, doodles, dogs with no recall or social skills whatsoever. They didn't like the aggressive dogs to be separated, because then we'd have to tell its owner, and the owner would potentially no longer give them business with the daily daycare income. I got tired of dealing with it and having to justify why a dog had to be separated after numerous attempts. Like be for real and hold the pet owner accountable here on training their own dog. It's one thing for a dog to learn better habits at daycare but then if it goes home and is spoiled and has no continued training it's going to continue to have problems in group settings. The owners of the place only cared about the supervisors opinions and never bothered for anyone else's feedback or listened to our concerns and it affected the entire morale there.

Working at a gas station for this lady that was friends with my mother. I only got the job because they were friends and then after I got hired things went downhill pretty quick. I didn't get along with anyone there and there were problems. I was fired within a month of working there. Another part time job I hated was when I worked at Wal-Mart part time for 3 years. I did janitorial work and the hours were good. Up until I transferred over to Produce only to have my hours drastically reduced which felt like a massive pay cut even though I got a raise. The department manager there was a douche bag to me and my lack of work hours got so bad that I quit.

I did not work a lot of part time jobs in my youth, just fulltime summer ones. I did have one part timer that I hated, though. It was for a company that did inventory counts for stores. I lasted a week, then they expected me to work Sunday during the time when I was still a pretty devoted churchgoer. Bye.
